Following the death of their eight-year-old son Adam, devastated parents Jessie (Rebecca Romijn-Stamos) and Paul (Greg Kinnear) are desperate to do anything to resurrect their beloved child. Befriended by a doctor at the forefront of genetic research (Robert De Niro), they are offered a chance to reverse the rules of nature and clone their son.
