Abba first came to prominence when they won the coveted Eurovision Song Contest in 1974 with their highly acclaimed “Waterloo”. Stig Anderson was confident they would win and was determined to bring them fame and fortune. Songwriters Benny Andersson and Bjorn Ulvaeus continued their musical collaboration and their biggest successes came with Mamma Mia! which features the music of ABBA, and the movie of the same name starring Meryl Streep, Colin Firth and Julie Walters.
