Anthony Quayle plays Adam Strange, a Home Office criminologist drawn into the investigation of bizarre and baffling cases that are beyond the skills of the normal police. Ably assisted by American graduate student Hamlyn (Kaz Garas) and his dizzy artist neighbour Evelyn (Anneke Wills), Strange investigates against the backdrop of swinging 1960s London.
