Giant Crossbow Leonardo da Vinci 500th Anniversary Wooden Revell Model Kit
May 2nd 1519 marked the death of one of the greatest artist’s and engineers of all time, Leonardo da Vinci. Revell honours this great inventor with a selection of kits based on his greatest creations! Seen as a technological marvel of its era, Leonardo’s ‘Great Crossbow’ imagined a device 23 metres long and 24 metres wide, designed as much to cause panic among its enemies as for use as a siege weapon! Revell’s detailed model is made primarily of laser-cut wood and also includes yarn for the bow string, plus PVA wood glue for assembly. Once complete, function can be traced through the moveable slide and turning wheels. Additionally, a display stand, booklet on the Giant Crossbow and reproduction poster of Leonardo’s original design and self-portrait is included.
